The Sportpesa League leaders Gor Mahia steadily moved forward with a convincing 3-1 victory over hosts Ulinzi Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex as last season’s Mozzartbet cup winners, league debutants Nairobi United saw off Sofapaka with a 1-0 victory to sent a warning shot to other league big wigs in their debut season.

Away in Kisii, Kariobangi Sharks devoured home side, the fancied Shabana FC infront of their home fans securing a vital 2-1 away victory.

But the highlight of the weekend was a humiliating 4-1 loss that was inflicted onto AFC Leopards at the hands of Slum Boys Mathare United, in a match which majorly dented the hopes of Leopards who have maintained a steady race against Gor Majia at the apex of the Sportpesa League.

In other matches, Tusker defeated Kakamega Homeboys by rwo goals to nil as KCB held Muranga Seals to a 1-1 draw.

Posta Rangers saw ofd defendimg league champions with a 2-0 victory while Bandari settled to a barren draw with Mara Sugar at Kwale stadium. APS Bomet was forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Bidco at Gusii Stadium.

Focus now shift to the earlier re-scheduled match between AFC Leopards and Nairobi United on Wednesday 18 as Naibois look to extend their winning streat with Leopards seeking redemption following their weekend rout by Mathare United in their last weekend encounter.
