Nairobi United play Posta Rangers, Police face dreaded BB Bread in Mozzartbet round of 16 draw

The 2025 Mozzartbet Cup winners Premier League side Nairobi United has been drawn to play away to fellow league side Posta Rangers in the Mozzart Bet Cup round of 16 matches set to be played on 10 and 11 April, 2026.

 

Nairobi United against the odds won the 2025 Mozzartbet Cup as the team, then playing in the National Super League dared to dream, fought by nail and tooth, blood and sweat and eventually, against giants Gor Mahia, Nairobi United conquered becoming on the second team playing in the second division to represent Kenya at the CAF Confederation Cup.

 

En-route to the round of 16, Nairobi United thrashed BMC Fc by a whopping 8 goals to nil in the round of 32, underscoring their intentions to retain the cup and play at the continental level for the second season running following their successful debut season where they qualified for the group stages.

Premier League champions Kenya Police, who are also the Mozzartbet Cup 2024 winners have a daunting task against the dreaded BB Boys FC which has been this season’s giant killers. BB Bread eliminated AFC Leopards in the round of 64 before giving the same dose to 21 times league champions Gor Maia in the round of 32.

 

The Mozzartbet Cup inaugural winners Kakamega Homeboyz will welcome Ulinzi Stars to Kakamega as Tusker FC face off with neighbors Kariobangi Sharks in an all Nairobi encounter

 

The only remaining non- league side Kuta Collection will play against Shabana FC while Embu based 3k FC will entertain Bandari FC in another encounter.

 

The remaining two teams from Eldoret will have a bone to chew with premier league sides as Mfalme FC welcome Muranga Seal to the north rift while KCB hill play host to Chebaywa lions which plays in the national division one league.

 

A total of 8 teams from this stage will qualify to the next round which is the quarterfinal stage. A subsequent final draw will thereafter be conducted from which the competition’s flow chart will be established outlining the next match ups from the quarterfinals to the final of the competition.
