Nairobi, April 04, 2024: Did you know that you can transfer money to other networks through Airtel Money at an affordable rate of as low as Sh6? Airtel Money, in its strive to enhance its customers’ lives, guarantees affordable transaction fees to improve financial inclusion.

Recently, the Central Bank of Kenya approved Airtel Money’s request to raise the daily mobile money transaction limit to Sh500,000 from the previous Sh300,000. As a result, customers can now make multiple transactions within the daily limit of Sh500,000, with each transaction capped at Sh250,000. This has increased flexibility allowing Airtel Money users to manage their finances more conveniently.

Compared to the current market rates, Airtel Money withdrawal charges and the cost of transferring money across networks will remain affordable. For instance, sending Sh500 to another network will incur a charge of Sh6 while sending Sh250,000 will incur a charge of Sh105, which is relatively lower than what the current market rates offer.

In addition, Airtel Money users continue to enjoy free person-to-person transactions within the Airtel network, providing a unique advantage, adding to its market competitiveness.

Notably, the company recently launched the ‘Rudishiwa Transaction Fee’ campaign, whereby customers are reimbursed the transaction fees incurred during the withdrawal of money back to their Airtel SIM as airtime.

Airtel Money remains dedicated to offering customer-centered and innovative solutions that enable them to enjoy affordable prices while transacting through their mobile money wallets. Airtel continues to grow its Agent network in the country, and you can access these services by dialing *334# or through the My Airtel App https://bit.ly/keAPP
