Nairobi, Kenya – As Kenyan students increasingly explore opportunities for higher education beyond their borders, the recent QS Fair in Nairobi showcased a growing interest in studying in the United States and Hungary.

QS Africa, a leading provider of higher education information and services, confirmed the rising trend of Kenyan students looking to study abroad.

They emphasized Kenya’s emerging market status and the growing number of Kenyan students who are seeking international qualifications and experiences.

Obuda University, a renowned institution in Hungary, witnessed a significant surge in inquiries from Kenyan students at the fair. Elizabeth, a representative from the university, highlighted the increasing openness of Kenyan students to pursuing their studies in Europe.

She emphasized the diverse range of programs and opportunities available at Obuda University, making it an attractive option for Kenyan students seeking a global education.

The QS Fair provided a valuable platform for prospective students to learn about different universities, explore academic programs, and understand the application and visa processes.

The high turnout at Obuda University’s booth underscored the increasing desire among Kenyan students to pursue international education.

Universities like Obuda University, with its strong academic programs and global outlook, are well-positioned to meet the needs of Kenyan students seeking quality education and international exposure.

As Kenya continues to invest in education and human capital development, it is expected that the trend of studying abroad will only continue to grow.

In a significant development, the Kenyan Ministry of Education and the Hungarian Government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will provide 200 scholarships to Kenyan students wishing to study in Hungary.

This generous offer, the largest of its kind from any government to Kenya, underscores the growing bilateral cooperation between the two nations in the field of education.

The MoU aims to enhance educational exchange and collaboration between Kenya and Hungary, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other’s cultures. It also seeks to equip Kenyan students with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the development of their country.
