12 Counties Scheduled for Power Cuts on Tuesday Listed

Twelve areas in 12 counties have been listed to face power interruption on Tuesday, Maarch 11th, 2025..

The Kenya Power Company announced that parts of four counties will experience power interruption to allow system maintenance.

The power interruption will occur between 8am and 5pm in different areas.

Counties to be affected are Nairobi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Kiambu, Kilifi, Mombasa, Machakos, Homa Bay, Nyeri, Nyamira, and Marsabit.

Nairobi

Parts of Nairobi will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are National Museum, Navigation, Stanbic, Westlands Road, Ngara Road, and adjacent customers.

Other areas in Nairobi to experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm are Galleria Gardens, St. Thomas Seminary, and Catholic University.

At the same time, areas including Mugo Kibiru Road, Joseph Kangethe Road, Moi Girls High School, Woodley East, Part of Jamuhuri East, Wamagata Road, Toi Primary, Toi Market, Joseph Kangethe Primary School and Joseph Kangethe Clinic.

Machakos

Parts of Machakos will face power interruption from 8am to 5pm.

The areas are Maruba Dam, Peoples Park, AIC Nyayo, Muumandu Market, Kola Market, Katanga Market, Kyangala Boys, Kikumbo Secondary, Kaviuni Market, Malili Kwa Kea, Kimutwa Market, Katoloni Market, and Vota Chrisco Church.

Homa Bay

Areas in Homa Bay will face power interruptions from 9am to 4pm.

The areas are Adiedo Secondary and Obilo Primary. Omboga Dis, Arido, Kunya, Orire, Yao Kamollo, Rabware, Nyawino, Raongo, Wikondiek, and Kopany.

Nyamira

Parts of Nyamira will face power interruptions from 9am to 4pm.

They are Tonga SDA Church, Part of Nyamaiya Town, Corner S Resort, Motobo Market, Bonyunyu Market, Nyansabakwa High School, Miruka Market, and adjacent customers.

Nyeri

Parts of Nyeri will face power cuts from 8am to 5pm.

The areas are Kirimara Farm, Gamerock S/Centre, Mt. Kenya Junior and Senior Schools, KWS Offices, Kimathi Water Pump, Goodwood Farm and adjacent customers.

Other areas in Nyeri to experience power cuts from 8am to 4pm are Muirungi Market, Kagicha Market, Kianguru, Chinga Girls, Gathabari, Gathanji, Gichiche Market, Chinga Boys High School, DEMKA, Kinu Market, Gitundu, Ruruguti, Githuthini, Gikurwe and Mahira.

Marsabit

Areas in Marsabit will face power cuts from 8am to 3pm.

The areas are Marsabit Town, Karare Market, Kamboe Dispensary, Bakuli, Saku Vocational Centre, Saku High School, Badassa Water, Kituruni Primary and adjacent Customers.

Kiambu

Areas in Kiambu are set to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are Banana Family Bank, Shell, Mogas, Banana Dairy, Thimbigua School, Muchatha, National Oil, Guango East and adjacent customers.

At the same time, areas including Murera Sisal, Matangi-Ni, Hamundia, Theta, PCEA Matangi, Magomano, Ndarasha, Ndururumo, Ruiriro, Pherie, Corner Brook, St. Dominic, Space and Style, Juja South East, Selecta/Kpp Production, Mastores, Abba Salama, Juja Farm S/Centre, Juja Farm Police Station and Gikumari S/Centre will face power interruption in Kiambu.

Other areas are Air Harries/Kwa Mzungu, Kwa Wamuini, Kwa Wamumbi, Juja Farm Zone P, Mwireri S/Centre, Kwa Mirage S/Centre, Kwa Ruhi, Athi S/Centre, PCEA Tumaini, St. Michael Secondary School, Athi Dispensary, Mukuyuini S/centre and adjacent customers.

Kilifi

Parts of Kilifi are set to experience power interruption from 9am to 5pm.

The areas are Greenwood, KMA, Cocacola Bottlers, Ashut Plastics, Mombasa Apparel, Milly Fruits, Mzuri Sweets, Ogalis and Mwalimu Omara.

Mombasa

Areas in Mombasa to face power interruption from 9am to 5pm include Kiembeni Green State, Kiembeni Baptist, Catholic, ACK, Nairobi East, Bustani East, Naivas Bamburi, Lake View 1, 2, 3 and 4, Kadzandani, Masters, Ajanta East, Bashir Mosque, Matingasi, Mtopanga Secondary and Primary and Stage ya Paka.

Kakamega

Parts of Kakamega to face power interruption are Ekero, Shianda, Kamashia, Ekama, Emakwale, Eluche, Shanderema, Mwitoti and adjacent customers.

Vihiga

Areas in Vihiga to face power cuts from 8.30am to 5pm are Emanda, Kidundu, Maragoli Booster, Gavalagi, Madira, Esiembero, Eshibuye, Ebusiloli, Ebunangwe, Ebutsiratsi, Musitinyi and adjacent customers.

Bungoma

Parts of Bungoma to face power interruption from 9am to 5pm are Bukembe Market, Matisi Water, Wamang’oli Primary, Bokholi, Matisi, Chebosi, Sawa and Wanyama.
