After successfully traversing through the Rift Region, Safaricom has now embarked on the second week of its Sambaza Furaha campaign in the Mount Kenya Region to reward and celebrate its customers for 24 years of connection and transforming lives through various delights.

The caravan tour kicked off in Kenol and made its way through Maragua, Murang’a Town, Mukuyu Market, Kangema, and Kiriaini, spreading holiday cheer with Safaricom’s offers while bringing essential customer care services closer to the community.

Speaking during the caravan flag-off for the Mount Kenya tour, James Muteti, Regional Business Lead, Mt. Kenya, said:

“This initiative is about gifting our customers with early Christmas delights and appreciating them for walking with us on this incredible journey. As part of the event, we will have different initiatives geared towards meeting our customers’ needs and uplifting communities. Today, for instance, we’ve not just flagged off the caravan but also opened a franchise shop here at Kenol to make it easier for our customers to access Safaricom services and products,”said James.

The campaign has resonated with customers like Julius Macharia, who expressed his gratitude, saying:

“I want to thank Safaricom for celebrating and bringing an early Christmas to us here in Murang’a. I have been gifted a chicken and a food hamper, which I will celebrate with my family. My Christmas is well sorted.” Said Julius Macharia, customer.

Beyond spreading holiday cheer, Safaricom is engaging in various community activities during the Sambaza Furaha caravan. These include digital skills workshops for the youth courtesy of S-Hook, dealer engagements in Meru as well as free medical camps at Rubate Technical Teachers College Grounds in Tharaka Nithi County. New franchise shops will also be launched in various towns, furthering Safaricom’s mission to make its services accessible and impactful at the community level.
