Mrs Thea Khama has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Agilitee, a leading greentech and electric vehicles manufacturer in Africa.
“Agilitee is excited to bring on board Mrs Khama as a director,” said Dr. Mandla Lamba, Founder and CEO of Agilitee. “Mrs Khama has a proven track record that will add value to Agilitee’s growth strategy through the delivery of technology in markets.”
Lamba said Mrs Khama brings valuable experience and insights that align with Agilitee’s mission to cut operational costs as that will empower the greentech and electric vehicles manufacturer’s customers operations.
“Her perspective will enhance our ability to serve clients, expand into new markets, and fuel our next phase of growth,” Lamba.
Mrs Khama brings decades of expertise in business and in the technology sector and has proven success in deploying technology at scale across industries. Her addition strengthens Agilitee’s commitment to bolstering its market position and driving long-term value for all stakeholders.

I have knowledge about Agilitee’s operations which I have been following for many years after having known the founder for a while and look forward to a cordial working relationship and cooperation with my colleagues on the Board as the Company works to capitalize on the strong underlying macro drivers of its business,” said Mrs Khama in her acceptance statement.
Mrs Khama is an American who is married to TK Khama. TK Khama is a former Minister of Environment, Conservation, Natural Resource Minister of Environment, Conservation, Natural Resources, and Tourism in Botswana. He is a brother to the former president of Botswana, Ian Khama.
Agilitee is the top leading electric vehicles manufacturer in Africa, and the company has seen the demand for its vehicles rise by over 200% in 2024. Agilitee celebrated its sixth birthday in October in the very same month the Company announced $450 million equity investment from an American investor.
Agilitee is busy changing its domicile to the U.S, whereas the African operations will be treated as a subsidiary to Agilitee’s new headquarters in America.
