Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odinga and Mabatini ward Member of the County Assembly Wilfred Odalo have today led ODM Leaders in drumming up support for the Kariobangi North ward for the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party candidate Michael Ouma Majua

Ruth Odinga, Suba North MP Millie Mabona, seasoned Embakasi North politician Jane Muringi and Mabatini MCA Wilfred Odalo headlined the campaign leading over 54 ODM Nairobi MCAs in drumming up support for Majua ahead of the Kariobangi North by elections set to be held on 27th November, 2025.

The Nairobi county assembly Majority Whip Kilimani MCA Moses Ogeta, Korogocho’s  Absalom Odhiambo Matach, Catherine Akoth, Perpetua Mponjiwa,  Clerence Munga and Ochieng Jera were among the leaders who joined Majua in his last weekend of campaigns.

Ruth noted that 27th November will be a day that will not only see voters in Kariobangi North elect their next MCA but it will also mark the end of 40 days of official mourning ODM  leader Baba Raila Odinga.

The Kisumu Woman Rep called on supporters of ODM to turn out in large numbers in the opportunity to culminate the mourning of the former Prime Minister with a vote of confidence to Baba and ODM by electing Michael Majua.

Odalo, who is the Mabatini MCA and chairperson of the Finance, Budget and Appropriations Committee said that he will make sure once Ouma is elected he will guide and support him in initiating development projects for Kariobangi which he noted will be well funded exuding confidence that Majua is capable to do enough in the few months he will be in office.

Madam Jane called on her Embakasi North supporters in Kariobangi North to turn up in large numbers and vote for Majua who she said represents the best interests of Kariobangi North.

“I urge you to vote for Michael Ouma Majua. With Majua in the county assembly and myself in the executive in the Nairobi county government we will be able to work together and marshal development to our area in Embakasi North,” Madam Jane noted.

According to Mabona, a vote for Majua will be a vote to ensure that Baba’s legacy is preserved.

“Vote for Ouma, Vote for Majua that is the only way ODM will remain strong post Baba. We have only one election in Nairobi just make sure you vote for the ODM Candidate Michael Ouma Majua,” the fire brand Mabona said.

The leaders addressed over five thousand ODM supporters from Kariobangi North ward. The campaigns in support of Majua is planned to traverse different areas of Kariobangi North Ward. The caravan started at City heading to Darfur and Sega areas before moving ahead to Shoeshine, Downtown, Kamash, Humble and Githembe stage. They will then move to Wailers, Kariobangi Light Industries, Majenga and culminate the campaign trail at the Kariobangi Market.

Different independent opinion polls have projected Majua as the leading candidate and he is largely expect to carry the day in the Thursday polls.
