Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has unveiled a public viewing arena at the National Archives for CHAN 2024 as the city boss moved to support the Football Kenya Federation appeal on fans to avoid cases of hooliganism and instead converge at free fan zones.

The fans experience will kick off this Sunday with Harambee Stars’ epic showdown against Zambia where Sakaja has rallied fans to converge at National Archives in the Central Business District and cheer the national football team as they play in their last group A match against Zambia.

The free fan zone set up in the Central Business District (CBD) is in partnership with PARROT Group with a seating capacity of 500 supporters and remain open for the entire tournament.

“Harambee Stars have done us proud. Not everyone can fit in Kasarani, so we’re bringing the action to the city,” Sakaja said.

Security will be provided, and fans will be guided accordingly to cheer our home boys. The area is already fitted with cabro paving, aesthetic décor, and lighting for matches that will continue into the evening.

The fan zone will remain open for the duration of the CHAN 2024 matches.

Sakaja confirms more zones are being set up in collaboration with the National Government in Uhuru Park, Jacaranda Grounds and Dandora among others areas to give more fans a chance to cheer on our boys

Big screens, big vibes, no ticket needed just bring your voice and cheer the Stars on!
