Ousted Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has now removed the ‘Deputy President’ title from his official social media bio hours after Prof. Kithure Kindiki was sworn in as his successor.
The Kenya Online News on Friday, November 1st, 2024, afternoon confirmed that Gachagua had changed his X (formerly Twitter) bio profile which initially read, “Husband. Father. Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya” to just “Husband. Father. Kenyan.”
Gachagua also changed his Facebook and X cover photos, from a photo of himself, Pastor Dorcas, President William Ruto and First Lady Rachell Ruto kneeling together after their swearing in ceremony in 2022, to just one of himself lifting his hands up facing Mt. Kenya as if in prayer.
