Six Counties to Experience Power Interruption on Tuesday

Kenya Power has listed six counties as areas set for planned power interruption on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024.

The utility company said the planned power interruptions will affect some areas in the six counties.

They include Kiambu, Makueni, Trans Nzoia, Kakamega, Laikipia and Kilifi.

The interruptions are done periodically to facilitate system maintenance.

Kiambu 

Areas will experience power interruption from 9 am to 5 pm.

They include Gikambura Market, Gicharani, Gichuhiro and Riu Nderi.

Makueni

Parts of Makueni will have power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.

Areas include Itangini Market, Kaumoni, Ngoluni, Kisau Girls, Mbumbuni Market, No Nyanya, Ngaa, Kithungo, Tawa, Kalawani, Wanzauni, Kikima, Mavindu, Uvaani and Kyuu Nzeveni.

Trans Nzoia 

Areas will experience power interruption from 9 am to 1 pm.

They are Kapkoi, Nauyapong, Maridadi, Molem, Kimwondo, Gumo Farm, Molem, Kimwondo, Elgon Tea, Soy mining, Bull Station, Sabwani ADC, Kapkoi, Katuke, Chepchoina, Suam, Elgon Orchards, Nai, Kimondo, Kaptega Chorlim, Mt. Elgon KWS/KFS, Kitum, Kaitet Panocal, Endex, Kinyoro, Marambachi, Kisawai, Cheptumbelio, Gitwamba and Suam.

Kakamega 

Parts of Kakamega to experience power interruptions from 9 am to 4.30 pm are Shirugu Secondary, Kalenda Market, Samitsi Market, Chombeli Dispensary and Musaga Market.

Laikipia 

Areas will experience power interruption from 8 am to 5 pm.

They are Makutano, Katheri Centre, Maraone, Ontulili, Kalalu Farm, Ibis Farm, Greenland Farm, GAW, Sirimon, Umande, Mumeru, Ngenia, Mia Moja and Kithithina.

Kilifi 

Parts of Kilifi to experience power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm are parts of Chasimba, Ziani, Pinglikani, Mwarakaya, Kizingo and Ng’ombeni.
