Nairobi-November 6, 2024: The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board has today dispatched election materials to 44 polling stations at the county level countrywide confirming that it is now all systems go for the FKF County Elections slated for this Saturday, 9th November.

The FKF Electoral Board dispatched ballot materials to the Counties in readiness for the elections and is scheduled to engage all candidates online in a virtual meeting set for tomorrow afternoon.

Speaking when he confirmed the process readiness, FKF Electoral Board Chairman Hesbon Owilla said they had contracted a private security logistics firm to provide secure logistical and material handling service for the electoral materials.

The board also oversaw the training of more than 100 electoral officials who will act as the Returning and Presiding officers for the County polls.

“We have dispatched elections materials to the Counties and after the training of elections officers on Monday, we are good to go. Nairobi East has the highest number of delegates (167) while Kirinyaga (7) and Makueni (7) have the least number of delegates,” Owilla said.

“We have also comprehensively dealt with all the complaints as per the FKF Electoral Code,” Owila added.

On Thursday, November 7, the board has scheduled a meeting with all the County candidates to provide further details and civic education of the Saturday polls.

Meanwhile, the board on Tuesday appeared before the Departmental Committee on Sports and Culture to brief the Parliament on the updates of the exercise that began slightly more than a month ago.

Owila told the Committee that was chaired by Kabete Member of Parliament James Wamacukuru, that measures have been put in place to ensure that the elections are free fair, transparent, credible and verifiable.
