The Smirnoff Battle of the Beats (SBOB) Nairobi Edition continued to captivate fans as the competition advanced to the Round of 8.
The live showdown, broadcast on TV47, saw the top 8 DJs—DJ Seville Esco, DJ Klasiq, DJ Leeboy, Sitythadj, Deejay Aga, DJ Funkeed Mixxingenious, Mr. Vancie, DJ Oliviera Kenya light up the stage with their unique mixes and commanding performances. They earned their spots through skill, creativity, and crowd support. Each of these competitors is one step closer to claiming the SBOB crown and representing Nairobi in the regional finals.
Speaking after the live session, SBOB judge DJ Karoski praised the level of talent on display. “Each DJ brought something special to the stage tonight. It’s incredible to see how much effort and creativity they’ve put into their craft. The competition is only getting more intense, and the energy tonight was unmatched,” he said. Jonathan Rutto, Smirnoff Shopper Manager, also expressed his excitement about the growing fan engagement.

As the journey narrows down, only four DJs will move on to represent Nairobi in the regional finals. These finalists will compete for a chance to claim the coveted SBOB crown and cement their place as Nairobi’s top DJ talent.
