Four young Kenyans who had been abducted in December 2024 were released, Monday January 6, 2025.

According to the families of Billy Mwangi, Peter Muteti, Bernard Kavuli, and Rony Kiplangat, the four were separately found alive.

Mwangi and Muteti were able to meet their families in person.

Reports indicate that Rony was located in Machakos County, while Bernard Kavuli, who was taken from Ngong, was found in Kitale.

Peter Muteti was discovered in Nairobi CBD, and his family has reported that he is disoriented but is now recovering at home.

Although their abductors have not yet been identified, the four were discovered by Good Samaritans on Monday, and returned to their families.

Mwangi arrived at his father’s home in Majengo Monday morning, while Muteti’s family has also confirmed his safe return.

The whereabouts of cartoonist Kibet Bull remain unknown. The family states that they have only heard from Rony Kiplangat, Kibet’s brother who went missing before the cartoonist was abducted.

Steve Mbisi, who has also been reported missing is yet to be found.
