From vibrant city markets overflowing with festive goodies to quiet ushago villages where families gather for Christmas, the holiday season is a time of connection, celebration, and, let’s be honest, a flurry of transactions.
Behind every joyful gathering, every delicious meal, and every thoughtfully chosen gift, there’s a network of payments quietly powering the magic.
This year, paying with Equity is at the heart of it all, making holiday spending smoother, safer, and more efficient than ever before. Whether you prefer the convenience of a Pay Bill account, the speed of mobile banking through our app, or the familiarity of mobile money wallets, Equity has you covered.
Let’s take a peek behind the curtain and see how it all works.
For customers:
Equity Mobile App: For those who prefer the convenience of mobile banking, the Equity Mobile app offers a smooth and secure way to pay. Log in, and select “Pay for goods & services,”.

· Equitel: A few taps on your Equitel line, navigating through Menu > My Money > Pay for goods & services, and just like that, the payment is made.
· M-Pesa: Equity integrates seamlessly with M-Pesa. If you are a customer making a purchase, simply go to Lipa na M-Pesa > Paybill 247247 > Enter the Business Number provided by the vendor. Your payment is processed instantly.

· Pesalink: Connecting directly with your bank account, Pesalink offers another secure and efficient payment option. Go to Pesalink Menu > Send to Phone > Enter Equity Till Number, and your payment is seamlessly transferred.
For businesses:
When customers use any of these Equity payment options, their payment embarks on a secure digital journey, instantly connecting them with your business. Imagine a customer buying a Christmas tree from your shop. They choose their tree, pull out their phone, select their preferred Equity payment method, and with a few taps, the payment is securely processed and sent directly to your Equity account. You receive instant confirmation, eliminating any confusion or delays.
The benefits extend beyond just processing payments:
· Enhanced security: Equity’s robust security features protect your transactions from fraud and theft, a critical concern during the holiday season.
· Data-driven insights: Equity provides valuable data on customer spending patterns. This information is invaluable for planning inventory, crafting targeted promotions, and making informed business decisions for the new year.
Transfer funds, pay bills, and even buy airtime with Equity. This festive season, join the growing number of Kenyans experiencing the convenience, security, and insights offered by Equity. From the smallest kiosk to the largest retail chain, paying with Equity is transforming the way we shop, dine, and celebrate.
