Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja presided over the Nairobi City County government cabinet workshop that began, Monday, 3rd February 2025 at the Windsor Golf Hotel in Nairobi.
The two-day cabinet workshop, themed “Developing a Transformation Action Plan” seeks to review and evaluate the performance of the Sakaja-led administration and chart a course for future development plans, with two and a half years left to the next general elections.
The cabinet members have, during the workshop, the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and reflections on the progress made so far by Governor Sakaja’s administration.
One of the key objectives of the retreat is to review the four pillars of Governor Sakaja’s manifesto – Order, Dignity, Hope, and Opportunity.
Governor Sakaja emphasized the need to observe the four pillars that are the cornerstone of his administration’s vision for a better Nairobi.
“When I recently checked manifesto on how we’ve performed. I’m proud to say we’ve achieved a lot in terms of development based on what we promised the city residents,” Governor Sakaja stated.
The cabinet workshop will also seek to identify areas that require improvement and come up with strategies to address them, especially in the digitization of services, regularisation of land and properties to increase county’s own source revenue generation, Early Childhood Development Education, Easing of Mobility through improving road infrastructure and the ongoing cleaning and beatification of the public spaces in Nairobi City County.
Additionally, the retreat will provide an opportunity for the cabinet members to align their objectives and set collective goals,which will foster teamwork and collaboration for effective governance in Nairobi City County.
