Kenya is set to experience continued rainfall across several regions in the coming week, according to the latest weather outlook issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department.

The forecast for March 25-31, 2025, predicts significant precipitation across the country, with isolated heavy downpours expected in several regions.

According to the weatherman, the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Southeastern Lowlands, the Coast, and Northeastern and Northwestern Kenya will see isolated heavy rainfall. Residents in these areas should be prepared for flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

The forecast also indicates significant temperature differences across the country.

Coastal regions, as well as northeastern and northwestern Kenya, will experience daytime temperatures that exceed 30 degrees Celsius.

Residents are advised to take precautions against heat-related conditions, such as staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged sun exposure.

Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and the Central Rift Valley will record nighttime temperatures dropping below 10°C.

Residents in these areas are advised to keep warm, especially vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly.
