The impeached former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua jetted back to the country today, Thursday 21, 2025 following his six week long tour of the USA.

Gachagua’s highly anticipated return by the former deputy president turned to be cold water as only a handful of paid up supporters turned up to welcome him back home.

According to Kumi Bila Break movement chairman Edwin Kuria, Gachagua’s comeback was nothing but child’s play as compared to the grand return that was witnessed when millions of Kenyans thronged the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to welcome that was accorded to Former President Uhuru Kenyatta when he left power to attend court sessions at the International Criminal Court at the Hague in Netherlands

as well as ODM leader Raila Odinga when he went on a long oversees tour in the USA and UK back in 2014.

Kuria mentioned that Gachagua’s comeback which had ben touted to be an unofficial holiday with planned disruption of public order by Gachagua’s followers flopped on their face as only the handful of their hired goons and followers were available to recieve him.

The goons who tried to disrupt traffic along Mombasa road were repulsed by security organs with tearsgas forcing the deposed leader to address his supporters atop his vehicle along the route.

Thousands of people thronged the city as ‘Baba’ jetted back to the country on May 31, 2014.

Prior to Raila’s comeback, Twitter had been awash with witty comments about Raila’s return and what supporters thought he should address.

Former PM Raila Odinga was welcomed by a multitude of jubilant supporters at Uhuru Park as the city came to a standstill and the atmosphere was easily reminiscent of campaigns witnessed a few days to the 2013 General Election, as Cord supporters thronged Uhuru Park to welcome their leader home.

Gachagua’s comeback had been billed to be similar to Raila’s but the DCP party flopped, falling on their noses, headfast as only the few people they had paid turned up.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan government has demonstrated respect for the constitution as Gachagua was allowed to freely address his followers as opposed to the propaganda that they had tried to spread about his imminent arrest.

This while the Kenya Kwanza government continues to work towards a sustainable economy and development across all regions of the country.
