Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed accompanied by National Executive Committee (NEC) member Abdalla Yusuf, former NEC member Muriithi Nabea and various FKF branch chairmen joined family and friends to bid farewell to Mrs. Stella Muthoni Rungu, the late mother of FKF NEC member Ken Rungu.
The late Muthoni, who passed on last week, was eulogized as a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and enduring love for her family and community.

“Today, together with members of FKF Congress, we gathered to honor the life of Mrs. Stella Muthoni Rungu, mother to FKF NEC member Ken Rungu. To Ken and the Rungu family, we pray for strength and solace, and may the memories of her kindness and wisdom carry you through this time of grief,” Hussein said.
“I want to express heartfelt condolences to our NEC member Ken Rungu and his family, we pray that the Almighty grants you peace and strength during this difficult time,” Hussein added.
Ken Rungu, who is the immediate former chairman of FKF Meru branch is currently serving as a co-opted NEC Member in the national office.
The FKF heirarchy, together with Muriithi Nabea, went to console with Rungu as the family laid to rest their family matriarch

Nabea served as a NEC member for two terms during which Rungu was elected the chairman of the FKF Meru branch which is a constituent of FKF Eastern Branch which Nabea represented at the national level.
