Opalnet Limited, the main distribution partner of LG Electronics East Africa, won three awards at the sixth Kenya e-Commerce Awards, which honor companies and individuals that are leading the eCommerce industry in terms of innovation in software, digital campaigns, and website creativity and technology.
Opalnet, which has only been distributing LG products since it was incepted 10 years ago, received the gold award in the Best Home Appliances (Brands) eCommerce Website category, recognizing its outstanding performance in managing an effective and user-friendly eCommerce platform for home appliances.
The company was also the silver winner in the Rising Star of the Year category, in acknowledgement of its rapid growth and innovative approaches in the eCommerce space. This is in addition to winning the silver award in the Best eCommerce Team of the Year category, recognizing its team’s exceptional performance in managing and executing eCommerce activities.
“These wins are both a recognition of the work that everyone in our team and LG, our partners, have done across the years. The 86-inch LG UR80 series TV, for example, is currently being sold at a massive KES314,000 discount, while buyers of the 65-inch CS series LG OLED TV will save KES80,000. Multiple other products are available at highly reduced prices, including home entertainment systems, kitchen appliances, washing machines and air conditioning units. A parallel Home Makeover sale is also going on until August 31, 2024, providing LG customers with the opportunity to purchase different home appliances and electronics at slashed prices.
