The Kenya Pro-Aging Organization Chief Executive Officer who is founder of the Women for Peace and Development Lucy Mworia, has been recognized as one of the most influential women in Africa during the Turning Point Women’s Awards gala held in Nairobi on 7th March, 2025.

 

Held on the eve of the international women’s day, the event served as moment of deep reflection and gratitude as women with remarkable contribution to society were recognized.

 

Turning Point Women’s Awards, a platform celebrating women who are driving change, breaking barriers, and shaping a better future both locally and internationally.

It is about the resilience of women who continue to challenge societal norms and creating lasting impact.

The former Isiolo North parliamentary candidate noted that the award is a reminder that every effort, every voice, and every act of leadership matters. She encouraged all women striving to make a difference to realize they have a calling that is far from over terming it just the beginning.

 

With over three decades of leadership, advocacy, and social development advocacy, aimed at uplifting marginalised communities, championing women’s rights, and fostering peace across Kenya and beyond, Mworia has stood out as a leader in society whose development legacy transcends boundaries.
