The Nairobi City County government has today, Saturday July 12, 2025 moved with speed to unmount all illegal advertising sign posts in Nairobi following the Nairobi County Cabinet resolution against illegal advertisements.

 

Led by the Nairobi City County Chief Officer for Urban Development and Planning Patrick Analo, the County government under the leadership of Governor Johnson Sakaja,the County government, in accordance with the cabinet resolution against illegal advertisements, went on to remove illegal sign posts and billboards starting with the Kilimani area following the Governor’s directive targeted at a cleanup along key roads in Kilimani.

 

A coordinated team comprising Urban Development, Outdoor Advertising, Dagoretti North Sub-County, City Inspectorate, and PCE officers initiated the removal of unauthorized signages, lamp posts, and advertisement boxes on Dennis Pritt and Ring Road Yaya to Argwings Kodhek Road.

 

Under the leadership of Chief Officer Urban Planning and Development Patrick Analo, this operation was aimed at the restoration of Nairobi’s aesthetic appeal and uphold urban order.

 

The collective effort signifies a renewed commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and vibrant cityscape, reaffirming Nairobi’s trajectory towards sustainable urban development.
