Gor Mahia face Talanta, promoted Mathare battle AFC Leopards as FKF PL fixtures released

Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions Gor Mahia will open their title defense against FC Talanta at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos in the 2024/2025 FKF PL season.

Football Kenya Federation released the 2024/25 season fixtures which kicks off on August 24th, 2024 and ends on June 22nd, 2025.

According to the fixture, newly promoted Mathare united, which reeled in relegation last season, return to the topflight with an epic battle against AFC Leopards set to be played at Dandora Stadium, Nairobi as KCB FC play against Kariobangi Sharks at Police Sacco Stadium, Nairobi on the league opening matchday.

In the fixture released on Saturday by the league body, league debutants Mara Sugar will invite Kakamega Homeboyz to Awendo Green Stadium as the sugar millers, who won the National Super League play for their first time ever in the top league while Sofapaka, who survived relegation courtesy of the playoff match will have a date with Tusker FC.

Kenya’s representatives in the CAF confederations Cup Kenya Police will open their league season against Nairobi City stars at the Police Sacco Stadium.

Posta Rangers will battle coastal side Bandari at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Bandari recently unveiled Harambee stars assistant coach Ken Odhiambo as their head coach as they plan to wrestle the title from Gor Mahia.

In other matches on the league opening day, Ulinzi Stars will entertain Muranga Seal at their Ulinzi Sports Complex, Nairobi as Bidco United host Shabana FC, which escaped the relegation axe by a whisker at Thika Stadium.

AFC Leopards will host the first Mashemeji derby against arch rivals Gor Mahia at Nyayo National Stadium on November 24th, 2024

Kenya Police who pipped KCB to the Mozzart bet cup earning a place to the confederations cup will invite KCB again to Police Sacco Stadium for their first leg league fixture on November 27th 2024.
