State Releases Sh3bn Inua Jamii Cash for May

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, through the State Department for Social
Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs has released Ksh. Three Billion, Five Hundred and Nineteen Million, Three Hundred and Twelve Thousand (3,519,312,000) for payment to1,759,656 beneficiaries enrolled in the Inua Jamii Program.

The Principal Secretary, State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs Joseph Motari said the Payment commenced on June 6th, 2025, with each beneficiary set to receive Ksh. 2,000 covering the month of May.

The  Cash Transfer Programme remains a cornerstone of the Government’s social protection strategy. It aims to alleviate poverty and promote the well-being of society’s most
vulnerable members, including older persons aged 70 and above, orphans and vulnerablechildren, and persons living with severe disability
