Gilbey’s, Kenya’s leading gin brand, brought flavor and real connections to life during an exclusive cocktail masterclass at the cozy Geco Café, transformed for one night into ‘The Gin Room’. In collaboration with Rusty Nail Bar, the event offered a vibrant celebration of mixology, creativity, and meaningful moments.
This immersive experience brought together a curated mix of Gilbey’s influencers, cocktail enthusiasts, and lucky consumers selected from Gilbey’s Instagram community. Guided by expert mixologists from Rusty Nail Bar, guests dove into the art of cocktail making, crafting three signature Gilbey’s cocktails designed to elevate any gathering into a “Real Moment.”
What most consumers love about Gilbey’s is the freedom to enjoy it however they want. They can mix it and enjoy it in a range of flavours from simple Gin & Tonic, the popular Gin & Juice, or more sophisticated martini or negroni. It was an exciting session also to elevate our cocktail-making skills guided by the experts, so we can elevate our hosting abilities with friends or family, as well as gain an appreciation for what our favourite mixologist does for many at our favourite bar.
Each cocktail was a unique expression of flavor and connection:
- The Roxy – This was a bold and playful mix of Gilbey’s Dry Gin, Raspberry Pink Peppercorn Syrup, and Lemon Juice, perfect for sparking vibrant energy.
- The Gold Standard —A sophisticated floral twist featuring Gilbey’s Dry Gin, Elderflower-Thyme Shrub, Passion Juice, Lemon Juice, and a splash of Club Soda, ideal for elegant connections.
- Uncle Tommy — A rich, fruity blend of Gilbey’s Dry Gin, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, and Crème de Cassis, crafted for deeper, more intimate moments.
Attendees got firsthand in a spirited cocktail competition, with winners taking home exclusive Gilbey’s merchandise.

This event created the perfect space for experimentation, learning, and appreciating the beauty of gin. Collaborating with Rusty Nail allowed us to engage with our community in a fun, interactive setting and inspire them to stir, shake, and sip in a more vibrant, expressive way.
The event not only displayed the endless possibilities of Gilbey’s Gin but also strengthened a growing community of gin lovers who embrace bold, personal expressions of celebration.
