Kenyan Beach Handball Coach and Technical Official Titus Wanson returned back into the country following an international assignment where he was a Technical Delegate for the 12th International Handball Federation (IHF) Beach Handball World Championship in Zagreb, Croatia.
Wanson, lauded NOCK President Shadrack Maluki and the Kenya Handball Federation officials for the emmense support he received during his tour of duty at theWorld Stage noting that through President Maluki’s visionary leadership, many Kenyan sports professionals have been empowered to access international education, training, and global platforms.
Wanson, in an elaborate long post on his social media platforms said that President Maluki’s leadership has continued to inspire and transform Kenyan sport.
“Great leaders do not simply lead institutions they build people, create opportunities, and leave a legacy that outlives their tenure. Through Maluki’s visionary leadership, many Kenyan sports professionals have been empowered to access international education, training, and global platforms that were once only aspirations,” Wanson wrote.
“As I proudly return home from Croatia after participating in the IHF Beach Handball World Championship, I am deeply honored to serve as a Confederation Handball Lecturer and an IHF Technical Expert milestones made possible through the opportunities, trust, and support fostered under your leadership,” he added.
The coach emphasised that President Maluki’s unwavering commitment to capacity building has equipped Kenyans not only to represent Kenya with distinction but also to return home with world-class knowledge and experience that will benefit future generations of athletes, coaches, referees, and sports administrators.
“On behalf of many whose lives have been positively impacted, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for believing in Kenyan talent and championing excellence. Your leadership is opening doors, shaping careers, and elevating Kenya’s profile on the global sporting stage. Thank you, President Shadrack Maluki , for your visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to empowering Kenyan sports professionals. We believe in your leadership and remain committed to serving our nation with excellence, integrity, and pride,” he concluded.
Wanson was nominated as a Technical Delegate for the 12th IHF Beach Handball World Championship in Croatia with the endorsement of NOCK and KHU locally as well as the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB).
“This opportunity is truly a dream come true, and I am grateful for the chance to contribute to the development and success of our sport at the highest level,” he said.
President Maluki congratulated coach Wanson on his achievements on the world stage noting that the National Olympics Committee of Kenya is committed to helping athletes, coaches, technical officials and sports administrators access opportunities for a chance to make progress.
