A betting firm has come on board to support professional golfers in their Magical Kenya Open qualifiers at the end of this month.

9ubet has injected Sh1.1 Million to fund the 72-hole qualifying events where the golfers will battle for the eight available tickets to this year’s Magical Kenya Open (MKO) slated for February 20-23 at the championship course Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi.

The qualifiers will be staged at Muthaiga Golf Club on January 27-28 and then Sigona on January 30-31, 2025.

Kiambu Golf Club player Simon Ngige will be seeking to make a return after four year absence in MKO. The last time Ngige booked a berth at the MKO was in 2019.

Golf Park’s David Wakhu, is dreaming of a major comeback after being out in the cold in the last two years. Wakhu has been out of the game due to a couple of injuries.

Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) captain C.J Wangai lauded 9ubet for the sponsorship which will give an opportunity to the players play and said they will strive to give pro golfers more tournaments for exposure.
