The working corperation agreement that was signed between President William Ruto’s rulling United Democratic Alliance and the Orange Democratic Movement has been lauded as a step in the right direction.

Business man and political analyst Kennedy Otieno, while speaking in a FJ Media broadcast on the union, signed yesterday between President Ruto and former Prime minister Raila Odinga, Ken noted that the agreement between the country’s two biggest parties was a step in the right direction.

Ken noted that the 10 point agenda that was signed summarizes the grievances that were raised by both the Azimio La Umoja coalition as well as the Gen Zs uprising and if the government goes ahead to fully implement the concerns, the country will be at the development pedestal.

According to Ken, the ever rampant unemployment and runaway corruption have for long plagued Kenya and the implementation of the NADCO report, which is the agreements first point will offer the country a chance to move forward.

Ken noted that the NADCO report, which was already adopted by Parliament should be implemented and with the concerted efforts of both UDA and ODM, this will be done progressively by the administration which he said is now made up as a representation of the face of the country.

Weighing in on the reasons why Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula skipped the event at KICC.

“Wetangula is the speaker of the national assembly and is supposed to be impartial, so what would he be doing at that event? Mudavadi is the Prime CS and he was at work. This tells you that we have leaders and the government,” Ken noted.

The political analyst continued; Mudavadi is not the party leader of UDA but the Prime CS so he went out to conduct business government as the political party leaders went to the political parties meeting.”

Ken Otieno is a businessman in Nairobi who runs a fleet of matatus as well as political analysis.
