Kasarani Member of Parliament Ronald Karauri is in the news for all the wrong reasons after videos of him with upcoming Tanzanian actress and brand influencer Nana Dollz emerged online.
Karauri’s marriage to his wife, Captain Ruth Karauri, is reportedly on the rocks after it was revealed that he has been having an extra-marital affair with Nana Dollz. Videos of Nana goofing around with Karauri and referring to him as her husband—inside the MP’s matrimonial home—have leaked online.
The two allegedly spent Valentine’s Day together on February 14th this year, while his wife Ruth, a Kenya Airways pilot, was at work. Reports indicate that Nana has also been sneaking into Karauri’s home in the leafy suburbs of Nairobi, where she has taken photos and videos inside his living space.
Despite portraying himself as a devoted husband in public, showering his wife with affectionate messages, Karauri has now been exposed for allegedly leading a double life.
Tanzanian blogger Mange Kimambi has accused Karauri of infidelity in a letter addressed to his wife, Ruth. Mange shared photos of Nana Dollz inside Karauri’s home, including images taken in the bedroom and kitchen, and even wearing the MP’s boxer shorts.
This controversy erupted after Nana Dollz denied receiving financial support from any man in building her house. In response, Kimambi released evidence to contradict her claims.
Aside from his personal scandals, Karauri has also come under fire for his performance as an MP. Critics argue that he has failed to initiate meaningful development projects in Kasarani, with some residents alleging that he only pursued the parliamentary seat to safeguard his betting firm business.
“What development has Karauri brought to Kasarani? All he is known for is his betting firm,” questioned Awiti Onyango on Facebook.
Lately, Karauri has been accused of engaging in political battles with other elected leaders in Kasarani. He has been involved in an online clash with Njiru MCA Karis, with allegations that he has been funding bloggers to spread falsehoods against Karis and other leaders in the constituency.
Faced with growing dissatisfaction among his constituents, Karauri is reportedly struggling to maintain his political influence as his popularity declines.
