UDA Sets Nomination Dates for November By-Elections

The  President William Ruto led United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party has announced the dates for the nomination of candidates for the upcoming by-elections.

In a statement on Thursday, August 14, 2025, UDA indicated that their nominations would be done on September 20, 2025.

“Notice is hereby given that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nominations shall be held on 20th September 2025. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for nomination by registering through the UDA party portal, accessible,” UDA said.

UDA equally said that the registration for interested candidates would begin on August 14, 2025, and end on September 5, 2025.

The vacant seats are for Members of the National Assembly for Banisa Constituency, Kasipul Constituency, Magarini Constituency, Malava Constituency, Mbeere North Constituency, and Ugunja.

The MCA seats are Angata Nanyokie Ward in Samburu County, Chemundu/Kapng’etuny Ward in Nandi County, Chewani Ward in Tana River County, Fafi Ward in Garissa County, Kariobangi North Ward in Nairobi City County, Kisa East Ward in Kakamega County, Kabuchai/Chwele Ward in Bungoma County, Metkei Ward in Elgeyo Marakwet County, and Mumbuni North Ward in Machakos County.

Others are Narok Town Ward in Narok County, Purko Ward in Kajiado County, Tembelio Ward in Uasin Gishu County, Nyansiongo Ward in Nyamira County, Nyamaiya Ward in Nyamira County, Ekerenyo Ward in Nyamira County, Lake Zone Ward in Turkana County, and Nanaam Ward in Turkana County.

UDA has also revealed that the nomination fees for the MP seats are Ksh250,000 for male candidates and Ksh125,000 for female candidates, and persons living with disabilities.

Kuria encouraged all interested participants to register with thekir local cordinators and be part of this transformative experience. “This is what meaningful leadership looks like—creating real opportunities where talent is recognized and rewarded. It is about moving beyond words and ensuring that progress can be seen and felt within the community,” Kuria said. Kuria, who is running for the position of Makadara Membernof Parliament has been active in empowering the residents of Makadara constituency using sports as a way of empowerment.
