Myles Baraka from Genesis Sports, was crowned the best swimmer in the Boys’ 10-11 years category as Kendi Mwiti from Orca swim club scooped the Girls’ 10-11 years award as Kiambu Aquatics fraternity celebrated a season of excellence during its annual awards dinner held at Elysian Resort in Runda, Kiambu County on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
During the Gala, Kiambu Aquatics celebrated outstanding swimmers, coaches and teams were recognized for their remarkable performances throughout the season.
In the 18 years and above category, Ezra Muhia from Be A Pro Swimming Club was crowned the best swimmer while Orca Swimming Club dominated the evening after being named Team of the Year, with Coach Sila of Orca being recognized as the Coach of the Year for guiding the club to an impressive season.

Coach Laureen Ouma, from Orca,lauded Kiambu Aquatics for organizing the awards and commended her swimmers for their dedication throughout the season. She expressed confidence that her team will return even stronger in the 2026/2027 season.
Kiambu Aquatics Chairman Gideon Kioko congratulated the award winners, parents, coaches and all stakeholders for their unwavering support, noting that the association has made significant strides in developing the sport. He assured members that plans are underway to further improve competitions and nurture more talent.
Outgoing Aga Khan Academy Sports Director Anthony Thairu, who attended as one of the guests of honour, described the awards as an important milestone in the growth of swimming, saying recognizing athletes motivates them to strive for even greater success.
The colourful ceremony was attended by senior Kenya Aquatics officials, including President Teddy Wamunyu, First Vice President Stanley Kaberu, and Second Vice President Hillary Leboy, alongside coaches, swimmers, parents and other stakeholders, in a celebration that marked the end of a successful season and set the stage for an even more competitive 2026/2027 campaign.
