Nairobi, Kenya | 01 June 2025: Mastercard marked the finale of the UEFA Champions League season with two exclusive viewing experiences in Nairobi and Amboseli, bringing fans closer to the action in truly unforgettable ways.
In Nairobi, football enthusiasts gathered at the iconic Carnivore Grounds to watch the highly anticipated final match between Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain. The event featured immersive activations, interactive fan zones and live entertainment, culminating in an electric live performance by Bien, one of Kenya’s most celebrated musical artists, reinforcing Mastercard’s promise to create meaningful connections through its UEFA sponsorship.
“Football goes beyond the ninety minutes. It’s about the shared moments and the emotions that bring us together. Our collaboration with UEFA allows us to craft experiences that go beyond the ordinary and resonate with fans across the region,” said Shehryar Ali, Senior Vice President and Country Manager, East Africa and Indian Ocean Islands, Mastercard.
Taking the experience to new heights, ten Mastercard cardholders from Kenya and Tanzania and their invited guests won an unforgettable viewing experience at the Amboseli National Park. Surrounded by Kenya’s majestic wildlife and expansive landscapes, the winners enjoyed a complimentary sunrise hot air balloon ride followed by an exclusive outdoor screening of the final match, combining the thrill of world-class football with the serenity of nature.
“Every interaction with Mastercard, from swipes to taps, opens the door to something truly priceless. With this campaign, we’ve taken the UEFA Champions League to breathtaking new horizons, celebrating the game in ways only Mastercard can,” added Shehryar Ali.
As the final whistle confirmed Paris Saint-Germain as the 2025 Champions League winner, Mastercard’s events brought together fans, forged authentic connections and celebrated the universal spirit of sport. This long-standing sponsorship with UEFA underscores Mastercard’s commitment to delivering priceless experiences that go beyond the game and stay with fans for a lifetime.
