Members of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board which midwived the December 7, 2024 football elections have decried the refusal of the new FKF office to release payment owed to them.

In a chilling turn of events, a plea  for help posted online by Kileleshwa member of the county assembly and popular blogger Robert Alai painted a grin picture as one member, who sought anonimity, has sent an appeal for help in getting their payment from the federation.
According to the member, the electoral board ensured they did their work diligently delivering a free and fair election but the football Kenya federation has refused to pay their dues.
Money meant to pay the electoral board is sent from FIFA and was disbursed with the members getting their down payment. The FKF has since then refused to pay even though the money was already released from FIFA and they suspect that the amounts were directed to other uses.
“They (FKF) keep saying they inherited empty coffers yet Hussein and Mariga are on planes flying every week. The CEO Korir Patrick has also avoided to deal with the matter  ignoring calls from the board chair and not responding to emails. As we speak some of us are in debt,” lamented one of the members in a message to Alai.
He has alleged that the federation President Hussein Mohammed has been globe trotting yet their payments are still pending saying that there is information some media personnel were under instructions not to publish the plight of the board members.
